Buying Lab128.
Overview of the buying process
There are three steps in buying Lab128:
- Getting prepared. Get familiar with the License Types to make an educated choice on the right License. If you have not downloaded Lab128 zipped files, you can do so at any time using the link in the box to the right or clicking here. If you have a recent trial version, you can skip the download - both trial and purchased versions use the same binaries;
- Ordering. You will need to supply the Licensee Name - a company or individual who will hold the license, or both. Then select the license type, the number of copies, then pay. When payment is processed, you will get an authorization Keycode which is used to activate the license. There are many payment options including completing the payment by phone, making payment in foreign currencies, etc. If you pay by credit card and the order is processed successfully, you will get the authorization Keycode right away in the confirmation receipt. The Keycode is also delivered by e-mail for all payment options. For payment options other than credit card, the Keycode is delivered by e-mail only.
- Unlocking the program. As soon as you get the authorization Keycode and have downloaded Lab128 files, you have everything to start using the program. Follow the prompts; you will be asked to enter the Keycode and the Licensee Name.
Important! You should know that purchasing is powered by SWREG (http://swreg.org) - the oldest online software store in the world. Every purchasing process originates on our site, then goes through the SWREG engine using a secure connection. Because of this, please note that "cardquery.com software" will appear on your credit card statement.
Ordering. Licensee Name.
You will need to supply the Licensee Name - either a company, or an individual who will hold the license, or both. Also this name will appear in the "Licensed to" box in Lab128. The Licensee Name is a part of unlocking the program: Lab128 prompts to enter the authorization Keycode and the Licensee Name on the first run. Be sure you type same name in the box below and later in Lab128. To facilitate smooth processing you should use only English letters and punctuation (more precisely, ASCII 7-bit characters) - we are sorry for any incurred inconvenience.
Ordering. License type and quantity.
License Types and Costs
Currently we offer perpetual licenses of two types:
- $299 - Named User. Up to 2 Oracle instances;
- $499 - Named User. Unlimited number of Oracle instances.
Both types are based on Named User, defined as an individual authorized by you to use the program, which is installed on a single or multiple computers, regardless of whether the individual is actively using the program at any given time.
Second part of license definition deals with the Number of Oracle instances, defined as the total number of Oracle instances that can be connected simultaneously at any given time by the Named User using the Lab128 software. Please note that Lab128 supports multiply connections to multiply Oracle instances from a single application process. It is possible to have several Lab128 applications running simultaneously on the same computer or to have Lab128 running on several computers. In all the possible combinations, the aggregated number of Oracle instances the Named User connects to at any given time constitutes the Number of Oracle instances.
More specifically, the first type of license restricts the aggregated number of Oracle instances each Named User can connect to, using Lab128, to 2 (two). The second type of license doesn't have this limitation.
